Oliver Grayson was one of the twenty-five canons of Guisborough Priory pensioned off when the priory was dissolved in 1539. He was given a pension of £7 a year.
He remained in the area, and became the Vicar of Easington. He must have stayed in contact with Robert Pursglove, because he was one of the witnesses to the statutes of Guisborough Hospital in 1561.
